This is the core graduate seminar in the field of Public Administration for the Department of Political Science at UTK.

 

Course description:

Overview of public administration theory and function.

 

 

The goals of this course are:

 

· To develop an appreciation of the importance of social equity in public management.

· To develop an understanding of the role of public administration in democratic governance.

· To develop an understanding of the Constitutional and political environment of public administration.

· To identify key challenges that face public administrators.

· To develop an understanding of the scope of the academic study of Public Administration.
