Political Science 513: Advanced Quantitative Political Analysis: This is the advanced graduate seminar on the application of statistical analysis for the Department of Political Science at UTK.
Course description: Methods and techniques in quantitative political analysis: focusing on multivariate statistics. Estimating statistical models with continuous and binary dependent variables.
The goals of this course are: · To develop a familiarity with applying multivariate statistics to political and social phenomena · To develop an understanding of the assumptions and limits of multivariate statistical tools · To develop the ability to understand and critique empirical research projects · To undertake original research utilizing multivariate statistical techniques. |
