This is the introductory graduate seminar in research methods for the Department of Political Science at UTK.

 

Course description:

Methods and techniques in quantitative political analysis: focusing on univariate and bivariate statistics.

 

 

The goals of this course are:

· To develop an understanding of the purpose and process of social science research.

· To develop an understanding of the functions of statistics in social science research.

· To develop an understanding of basic data management principles.

· To develop an understanding of univariate and bivariate statistical tools.
