1. Locate three on-line AUPs for K-12 schools, universities, or organizations. Write a brief summary outlining the similarities in content. How do they deal with AUP violations? What are the consequences?
2. You may have computers with Internet access in your classroom. Assume your school system or organization doesn't have a standard AUP, locate at least two sites that discuss writing an Acceptable Use Policy. What advice do they give for dealing with students and parents or co-workers? Do they cover personal web pages and their content?
3. Write a brief outline for an AUP you could use in your classroom or organization. Give your reasons for why you have included (or excluded) certain elements in your AUP. This is not a comprehensive outline, think of it as the preliminary phase for designing an AUP to answer these questions:
