Organizing Your Bookmarks

Netscape bookmarks can be rearranged by clicking and dragging them. You can also nest bookmarks in folders or dividing them into groups with dividers. Another way to help you keep track of your bookmarks is to annotate them.

  1. To add a folder simply go to Item while you are viewing your bookmarks and select Insert Folder...
  2. A dialogue box allows you to give the folder a name and a brief description as well.
  3. Put bookmarks in the new folder by dragging them to the folder and dropping them. When you open the folder you will see the bookmarks.
  4. Add a divider the same way!
  5. Do you want to make the title of a bookmark more descriptive? Perhaps annotate it so you know what is at that site? Simply select the bookmark by clicking on it.
  6. Once the bookmark is selected, under the Item menu select Edit Bookmark...
  7. Now you can rename the bookmark and write a brief description about it.
  8. The more organized your bookmark list the more useful it is to you.
