Wimba Podcaster: create podcasts or upload podcasts for users to subscribe to.
Podcaster allows you and your students to create vocal recordings or upload digital recordings and distribute them over the Internet using syndication feeds. Essentially, it allows you to easily create and subscribe to podcasts.You and/or users may subscribe to your series of podcasts created within the Podcaster in one of 2 ways: Click the 1-click button at the top right of the Podcaster (Note: Only iTunes users may use this option.) or click the RSS feed button at the top right of the Podcaster. A new window will appear. Copy and paste the URL from this window into your podcasting application.Once you are subscribed, your podcasting application will automatically download new podcasts created within the Podcaster.
The New button, located in the upper left-hand corner of the Podcaster, allows new podcasts to be created. This button is always available for instructors, but will only be available to students if "Allow users to post to podcast" is selected within the Settings section. Click the New button to create a new podcast. A new Compose window will appear with audio controls in its upper left-hand corner. In addition to recording new messages, instructors also have the ability to import audio in order to create a podcast.
