June 2006 - present:

Coordinator III, Language Resource Center, The University of Tennessee

 

Oversee all activities of LRC & its staff, manage & promote LRC support of language curriculum, & provide faculty with training workshops & advice on integrating technology into instruction. With LRC staff, ensure reliable delivery of services & maintain computers, servers, audio & video machinery, & other equipment. Train & supervise professional staff. Hire, train & supervise student staff. Prepare budget requests. Consult with faculty on level & type of resources available to students & instructional staff. Prepare & conduct orientation sessions for
new faculty & students & in-service workshops for faculty in use of instructional technology. Coordinate language placement exams for entering students.

   

July 2002- June 2006:

Director, International Media Center, Purdue University Calumet

 

Appointment in Foreign Language Instructional Technology with teaching responsibilities in French as well as ESL.   Direct the activities of the IMC and its programs.   Partner with Computer, Technology, and Information Services. Develop instructional technology within the IMC, the Department of Foreign Languages, and the Center for International Programs. Attend relevant conferences; maintain appropriate memberships; supervise student worker projects; and work with faculty to integrate IT applications into departmental curricula.   Coordinate facilities and hardware usage in a multipurpose center and multimedia studio / theater classroom. Serve as WebCT administrator and webmaster for department and school. Consult with faculty colleagues on technology and pedagogy.
