Presentation Rubric

OVERVIEW:

Length: Five minutes, allowing one minute at the end for questions from classmates.

Introduction: Be sure to introduce yourself to the class, as well as let us know what your topic for your research is.

Content: The presentation should include a very brief summary of what sort of work you've done towards your paper thus far, and then the presentation should move to focus on whatever example(s) you'll be presenting to the class.

Examples: Need to include some element of multimedia when presenting examples or pointing to specific points in your topic that you want to present to the class. This may include pictures, Microsoft Powerpoint, video, music, handouts, drawings, etc. Make sure that your audience understands why these examples are important, and why you chose the media you did!

Delivery: Don't read from a script! You are more than welcome to have notes and/or outlines for prompts, or read specific quotes from other sources, but I don't want to see people standing in front of the class nervously reading verbatim from a sheet of paper. It's okay! We won't bite! Promise!

Creativity: Keep us interested! The stage is yours for a full five minutes -- go for it!

Questions: Don't forget to open the floor for questions at the end!

Good Luck!
