Welcome to the official website of Tennessee Crew, a University of Tennessee tradition since 1972. Tennessee Crew is the coed Rowing Club for the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Established in 1972, Tennessee Crew is not only one of the oldest club sports at the University of Tennessee, but also one of the oldest collegiate Rowing programs in the Southeast. Tennessee Crew offers students of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville the opportunity to participate in one of the oldest, most challenging, and rewarding intercollegiate sports in the United States. A team sport, rowing demands team work, physical endurance, and a competitive spirit. If you are interested in rowing for Tennessee, please visit our recruitment page. Like many other rowing programs, Tennessee Crew is not a varsity sport, which allows for a competitive team without the demands of a varsity program. As an organization, the team is both an opportunity to achieve a high level of athleticism and develop a social group of friends that will last throughout college and life. As a club, Tennessee Crew depends upon its members and its alumni, parents, and sponsors. From coaching, equipment, and finances, the club is self sustained.
