NSF Grants
In 2008 I was ranked in the top 100 mathematicians for NSF funding, a year in which my NSF funding amounted to more than triple my annual salary. Since I have been at UT I have been the Principal Investigator of four grants from the National Science Foundation totalling nearly $1.5 million. The majority of this funding has provided direct support to undergraduates in the form of scholarships, need-based financial aid, and research support. These grants have supported the Appalachian Scholars in Math and Computer Science, UT Math Honors, and the UT Math Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs. I have also received smaller grants from various sources to support my research activities. See my vita for more details.
