Each quater, the Center will provide a link to ACSM's Fit Society Newsletter, which you can download with Adobe reader, and read at your leisure or share with others.
This issue focuses on "do-it-yourself" exercise. More specifically, it shares information related to cardiovascular training, strength training, flexibility training, balance training, stress management, and nutrition. Likewise, it discusses various health- and fitness-related Smartphone apps.
The spring issue focuses on the role of physical activity in managing chronic diseases. In particular, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and depression collectively represent the primary focus of this newsletter. Additionally, this issue provides information related to athletes and eating disorders among other topics.
