The Fifth Legions Trip to the Twentieth Legion's Roman Days 2007 in Glenn Dale Maryland

May 31 - June 3 7 reenactors with the Fifth Legion traveled up to the Twentieth Legion's Roman Days Event In Glenndale, Maryland. The event is held annually at the Marietta Mansion Historical Park, and is a great place to show off new, armor, tents or siege weapons.

A look at the various siege weapons. At left a carro-scorpion. The cart was made by the Legio III Cyrenia. The scorpion, (bolt thrower) was made by George Metz of the Legio XXIV. The middle engine is a Ballista (stone thrower) made by the Legio III Cyrenia. At right is an onager also by the 3rd legion.
