Turnip soup
 4-5 fresh turnips
3 cloves garlic, crushed
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c flour
1/4 c butter
6 cups broth
1/3 c fresh thyme, finely chopped

Saute turnips in butter until soft (about 30 minutes).  Add garlic, flour, salt, and pepper.  Saute another 5 minutes.  Add broth.  Bring to a boil and cook 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Add thyme.  Let sit 5 minutes.

Refridgerates well.
