M.A. in Mediterranean Archaeology

Students dig at an archaeologocal siteThe M.A. in Mediterranean Archaeology is a new concentration in the M.A. in the Department of Anthropology . Thirty hours of course work are required, including Anthropology 510 Method and Theory in Cultural Anthropology, 560 Theory in Archaeology, and 590 Method and Theory in Biological Anthropology, all in the first year. Also required is a graduate-level introductory statistics course, usually Statistics 537. The remaining 18 hours may be selected from courses offered in the Anthropology, Classics, or History departments. Finally, there is a thesis and an oral examination.
