Welcome to the web space of Chris Fedo.  I am the Carden Professor of Sedimentary Geology in the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.  My research is focused on problems in understanding Precambrian sedimentary basin evolution from field, geochemical, and isotopic perspectives, clastic petrogenesis of Holocene clastic sediments, detrital zircon geochronology and provenance reconstructions.  Within this web space you can find links that navigate to my research interests, students doing research with me, representative publications, information about courses I teach, and (someday!) virtual geologic field trips from places my students and I are working.

I am always looking for motivated individuals to join my group as PhD and MS grad students, as well as post-docs. If you would like to find out more about joining my group, please send me an email or call using the provided contact information.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Diversity, inclusion, and equality form essential core values in my group. Discrimination is not tolerated in any way.
