Ms. Lisa Emery
Coordinator, Teacher Licensure

• Master of Science degree, College Student Personnel, The University of Tennessee
• Coordinates advising for the college’s professional licensure programs
• Professional licensure encompasses a broad area of responsibility which includes prospective undergraduate and post baccalaureate students, currently enrolled students, former students, and teachers
• As a service to school systems, assists with the interpretation of Tennessee Department of Education’s rules and regulations governing teacher licensure
• Coordinates new student orientation for students pursuing teaching as a career, and coordinates the pre-intern orientations relative to licensure

• Guides traditional and non-traditional students regarding inquiries into the college's teacher education programs as well as licensure requirements for the state of Tennessee

• Conducts separate orientation sessions for upcoming freshman, transfer students, and upcoming interns
• Provides information to teachers interested in additional endorsements, alternative licensure, or renewing a license

• Provides administrative support, quality customer service, and problem solving for the complex daily activities of Student Services Office.
• Coordinates the undergraduate commencement ceremony for undergraduates students within the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

 

Ms. Nakesha Roberts

• Coordinates Degree Audit Reporting System petitions for the College
• Assists Director with undergraduate and graduate scholarship coordination

• Coordinates the dissemination of the licensure paperwork to the State Board of Education
• Serves a initial contact person to students who are interested in obtaining additional endorsements
