(From Helen's message to the baseballswap list)...."I have actually started my baseball quilt - using blues, purples, dark reds and creams - which is actually almost all of the squares!!! (Remember, I have 2 years supply of squares now!) I'm cutting them into 1.5" strips, sewing 4 strips together - dark, med, med, light and dark, med, med, dark and then cutting them into diamonds. I have no idea what the pattern is called - if it has a name - but it looks a bit like 3D tiles (if I am lucky and manage to get the colour placements right!!) The first few squares looked dreadful - but I decided to carry on for a bit longer before deciding whether it worked or not - and thats a really good lesson to learn - it does work (sort of!) and I think its beginning to look quite nice (if I say so myself vbg)" ---- Helen Smith

Above is a picture that Helen took of the blocks as she was making the quilt

Here is Helen and Angela pinning the finished
top. Helen does admit that there a just a few
fabrics in the quilt that were not from the baseball swap. She shouldn't worry
much about
that especially since she has actually gotten around to making something with
her squares.

And finally, a quilt cannot be called finished until it has passed inspection!

And Thomas states that it passes with flying colors!!!
