Curriculum connections template: Creating a "curriculum connection" versus a full lesson plan is an option that can be used in the technology course. These one page "connections" consist of sections that we feel are standard in all lesson plans and are modeled in the book. This may be a good alternative to a full plan because of time constraints. Directions and rubric for Personal Learning Plan for pre-service teachers at UT: The pre-service teachers at The University of TN. are required create a homepage for their Personal Learning Plan(e-portfolio), write a paragraph for their professors that follows these directions and insert a hyperlink to their classroom web site and blog (developed in the course). Directions for digital collection: Download PDF. Images are obtained using various methods (from a digital camera; scanner; CD/DVD collection, the Web; and a screenshot). The collection demonstrates knowledge in obtaining digital images for electronic use, as well as naming, editing and saving files. In addition, students cite origins for copyright purposes in this activity.

Directions for diagram, map or web project and rubric: Download rubric. Preservice teachers develop a diagram using Inspiration that is aligned with state curriculum standards and can be used in lessons for future students. In addition, the diagram can serve to demonstrate the features of the software to their students (symbols, links, notes, graphics, etc). Diagrams may take the form of a concept map, story or character web, comparison/contrast diagram or others as seen in the book. The artifact should meet the criteria on the rubric.
