A two times Fulbright Scholar, Peter Lizon, PhD is a Professor of Architecture. He has been elevated into the Fellowship of the American Institute of Architects and has been bestowed a Doctor Honoris Causa by the Slovak Technical University. He has initiated saving and restoration of landmarks of Modern Architecture in Moscow, Brno and Zilina; has written and published on the arts, culture and politics of Central and Eastern Europe and has been promoting achievements of the peoples of the region. The new Embassy of the Slovak Republic designed by architect Lizon with associates was built in Washington, DC.
