This year's conference will be held at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, a residential environmental learning center located within the heart of Great Smoky Mountains National Park along the Middle Prong of the Little River. Miles of trails and a half million acres of mountains and forests surround Tremont. In addition to these excellent natural resources, Tremont facilities include a comfortable dormitory, dining hall, classrooms, outdoor meeting shelters, and a bookstore. The Institute is situated about four miles from the Townsend entrance of the GSMNP, and about an hour from downtown Knoxville and forty-five minutes from McGhee-Tyson Airport.


Registration will include housing, five meals, snacks, and social activities. Housing is dorm style in the Caylor Dormitory (see pictures below).

Deadline for Registration is September 4, 2007.

Registration Cost is $130 per participant

Late Registration will be from September 5th to September 10.
Late Registration Cost will be $145 per participant.

Each Registrant will be allowed a maximum of (1) talk AND (1) poster.
Please Limit Talks to 12 minutes (plus 3 min. Q&A)

A poster session will be held Saturday night during the social. A mini social will be held Friday night, September 21, as well as a probable nighttime wildlife walk. The main social will be held Saturday night after the talks.

Friday September 21st:     Participants Arrive, Registration, Mini Social, Nighttime Walks
Saturday September 22nd:     Talks begin at 8am, Break for Lunch, Free Time before Dinner, Social and Poster Session after Dinner
Sunday, September 23rd:     Talks begin at 8am, Lunch, Participants depart
