Visual Basic Applications - Basics and Exposure to Programming

The Air Quality Research Group at UTK is involved in multiple projects that involve modeling, database management, repetitive and/or long calculations.  We asked the question - Wouldn't it be good if we knew how to write simple macros in Excel to start with and manipulate data?  Hence we started a series of weekly lectures covering the basics and ending with how to write, debug and run a macro.

One hour each week for a period of four weeks.  That was all !  Attendees were able to get a grasp of what Visual Basic is and how it can be used in Excel to write macros.
