Archaeology at Marble Springs:
Historical Archaeology Field School
Dr. Charles Faulkner
The University of Tennessee Department of Anthropology will offer an archaeological field school
at Marble Springs, the 18th century Knox County farm home of John Sevier, first governor of Tennessee.
The class will meet first session Summer School, June 1 to July 2, 2004, from 8AM to noon, Monday through
Friday. The class will earn 6 hours undergraduate or graduate credit (Anthropology 430, section 12103, or Anthropology 530,
section 12174).
