What is AMSA?

“The American Medical Student Association (AMSA), with a half-century history of medical student activism, is the oldest and largest independent association of physicians-in-training in the United States.”


AMSA at UTK was founded in 2007 to add a new layer to premed education at the University of Tennessee. We believe that as future physicians, we have a responsibility to educate ourselves about the way health care interacts with societies as a whole and learn how to be advocates for our future patients now.
