Welcome to Africana Studies
Africana Studies is both cross-culutral and interdisciplinary. It examines aspects of black life in Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Asia, and Europe. Such an examination leads to a better understanding of critical issues affecting people of African descent in all the societies where they live. This serves to enhance students' understanding of these societies. Thus, courses in Africana Studies seek to broaden students' perspectives, encourage analytical thinking, and develop basic skills.
