If you use MS Windows and don't already have a file transfer program,
you can download one with your browser.

It's free.

(This is a 5.3MB file, so you should do this on a fast Net connection, not dial-in.)

You will retrieve it with your browser using "ftp" protocol, not "http."

Go to ftp://ftp.ssh.com pub/ssh/

The installer program for Windows is "SSHSecureShell Client-3.2.9.exe"

Read the ".message," "ReadMe" and "Quickstart" documents in that folder if you want more technical background.

Note: Nvu, TextWrangler, NoteTab and Dreamweaver all have built-in FTP or SSH capability, but they may not work with our server. Recent versions of Nvu, in particular, have not had the "secure" FTP that our computer administrators require. The solution is to create your page with one of the editors, then use Fugu, SSH File Transfer or OIT's Website Management (or Volspace) pages to put your work on the server.
