Annual Graduate Colloquium in Philosophy
In the spring of each year, the department's graduate students host a regional colloquium. For a day and a half, graduate students present their own work and respond to questions from the audience. In addition to papers by students from our own department, papers have been presented by students from universities in Texas, Florida, Ohio, Georgia, Washington D.C., and Kentucky.
In recent years, the colloquium has been "kicked off" with a talk by a distinguished professor from another department on campus whose work either involves philosophical inquiry and/or challenges philosophical perspectives.
