Language and World Business
The Language and World Business Program (LWB) is a concentration within the curriculum of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee that allows students to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree by combining a foreign language major (in French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish; or a major concentration in LWB with Chinese, Japanese, or Portuguese) and a minor in International Business Administration, or one of two other sub-concentrations, International Retail Merchandising, or International Agricultural Economics.
In addition, requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in LWB also include completion of a practical experience component, either through an international or local internship or study abroad course work.
LWB majors are reminded that, in accordance with the policy of the College of Arts and Sciences, a grade of "C" or better must be earned in every course counted as part of the major, including all required business and language courses.
