Steven P. Dandaneau

Steven P. Dandaneau received his B.A. in economics (with honors) from Michigan State University (1986) and his M.A. (1990) and Ph.D. (1992) in sociology from Brandeis University. Prior to undertaking his current position at the University of Tennessee, Dandaneau was Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of the University Honors & John W. Berry, Sr. Scholars Programs at the University of Dayton and Visiting Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

His current work is mainly focused a book project entitled C. Wright Mills: Last Years, Late Work and "American Critical Theory: A Reader," co-edited with Harry F. Dahms.

Dandaneau taught The Decline of the Public Sphere (UH 267) during the Spring Semester, 2008 (syllabus).
