Dr. Bruce Ralston

Bruce Ralston is interested in both the theoretical and applied sides of transportation and economic activity. Lately he has been particularly interested in the application of GIS and transportation analysis to problems of development and logistics. He has worked on a variety of projects in both the public and private sectors for organizations such as the World Bank, the US Agency for International Development, and the World Food Program. He has also worked for private sector firms, such as FedEx. His international work has taken him to countries in Africa and Asia. He also has worked on collaborative efforts with colleagues in Brazil and China. Ralston brings his research interests to his classes on transportation and GIS, and tries to include students in research whenever possible.
