Elizabeth Stephanie Cramer, Ed.D.
Elizabeth Stephanie Cramer is coordinator of art education at UT, and an assistant professor. She advises art education undergraduate and graduate programs, coordinates and supervises the art internship program and field experiences, and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. She teaches Art Education 301 Foundation in Art Education, Art Education 350 Field Experience, Art Education 400 Curriculum Planning and Teaching Strategies, Art Education 510 History and Philosophy of Art Education, Art Education 520 Studies in Art Education, Art Education 530 Production and Critical Analysis of Art, and Art Education 540 Use and Construction of Instructional Materials for Teaching Art. She is the sponsor of The National Art Education Association Student Chapter of the University of Tennessee, an active campus organization promoting visual art.
Dr. Cramer received her doctorate at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. She
holds a MA in Art Education and a BA in Art Education from the
University of Kentucky. Dr. Cramer previously coordinated the Art
Education program in the Department of Art at Morehead State University
in Morehead, Kentucky. Dr. Cramer taught preschool through high
school in various capacities, public and private schools, after
school experiences, Saturday schools and summer programs. She also
taught in gifted and disadvantaged youth programs, and was a docent
at the University of Kentucky Art Museum. Dr. Cramer is a two-dimensional
mixed-media artist.
