How We Got Started

In the spring of 2001, we began a world of triumph.
Only good things were to come for our new team. A girl by the name of
Ginny Chacos had an interest meeting to gather girls of all types to play for
her new lacrosse team. We all signed up and started practicing two weeks later. Well,
at first we were discouraged because there weren't many girls who knew how to play, let alone come
to practice. So, Mike and Sean committed to becoming our wonderful coaches. They practically got our team started and motivated.

The summer came and we all went home to bask in the sun.
Then fall rolls around, we have a few more girls join the team and before
we know it, we are playing in our first tournament at ECU. As it so happens, the first game
we ever played as a UT Lacrosse team, we won. The next weekend, we made it down to Atlanta to play
in the SWLL Play Day Tournament. We won three out of six games that day. Now we are motivated and
skilled enough to become full members of the League.

And so, we are here, trying to be the best.
One day we will accomplish this goal.In the Spring of 2002,
we will move on to conquer the world of Women's Lacrosse. We will play 8 games
and hopefully make it to the championships
