Anton Reece, Director

Hailing originally from the Caribbean Country of Barbados, Anton draws from his communication skills as a former employee with the Voice of Barbados Radio, a guest anchor for the Caribbean Broadcasting Television news, and commentator on various television and radio programs.  Anton’s journey includes living in  Miami, Florida, the Bluegrass State of Kentucky and  currently in Knoxville, Tennessee has given him a unique perspective on many issues.

Anton is an honors graduate with a B.A in Broadcasting News and a M.A in Counseling, from Eastern Kentucky University, in addition to 24 hours above his masters from Murray State University.  Anton has a legacy of firsts and  was the  first  Minority Affairs Coordinator and Counselor in the University of  Kentucky Community College System in 1990.  In 1999, Anton created history again by becoming the first African American Dean of Student Affairs in PCC/PJC history and in 2002 became the Dean of Enrollment Management at the consolidated West Ky. Community and Technical College.  He was one of the youngest administrators in the state and at that time the only African American  Dean in the state Kentucky community and technical colleges.  Anton is currently the Director of Student Activities at the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville.
