Lynanne Hodges, Graduate Advisor

Lynanne Hodges is a 2006 graduate of Christopher Newport University with a B.A. degree in Sociology and minors in Leadership Studies and Psychology.  She was an involved member of the President’s Leadership Program, the Honors Program and Council, the Student Government Association, Alpha Kappa Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, and the National Residence Hall Honorary.  As an undergraduate, Lynanne was involved with Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and coached several Special Olympics athletic teams.  She also served as a resident assistant for three years and was the president of the Campus Activities Board, both of which prompted her career path in student affairs.

Lynanne is currently pursuing her M.S. in College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee.  Her research interests include identity development theory, leadership program exploration, and student engagement.

Lynanne enjoys composing music, camping, watching movies, playing with her puppies, and visiting her family in her hometown of Callaway, VA.  After graduating from UT, she hopes to pursue a career in student affairs while attaining her Ph.D.
