ABOUT ME

I was born in Dallas, TX, in 1982, and in addition to Texas, have lived in Alabama, Massachusetts, and even Australia. The bulk of my life has been spent in Tennessee, where I love the people and places and hate the weather. I received my degree in Computer Science at Vanderbilt University before realizing I wanted something with more of a human element to it, and on a whim, decided to try out Economics at The University of Tennessee, where I could get in-state tuition. I fell in love with the subject and now it seems I'll be doing it for the rest of my life, which doesn't disturb me in the slightest.

I've still retained my geek nature, which is why my apartment is filled with gadgets and everything else I own is crap. I play and write amateurish songs for the piano as stress relief, and have been known to enjoy a refreshing pint of beer and a game of foosball. I like to think I'm funny, but my friends and students may disagree.

To the right I include maps of the countries/states I have spent time in (not flown over).
