Admission Requirements
Admission to the Exercise Science program requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 after 45 semester hours of completed course work. Students must also have completed ES 100, Chemistry 120, and Physics 221. Keep in mind that several of the required courses offered in the Exercise Science Unit and Sport Studies have admission to the program as a prerequisite. Once you are admitted into the program, you must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Also, one of the requirements for graduation is that you must have been formally admitted into the Exercise Science program before completing your last 30 hours. Incoming Freshmen who wish to major in Exercise Science can declare this at the time of enrollment in the University. There are no prerequisites or requirements for this declaration, and it is not binding. These students will be advised at the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Advising Center until the admission requirements have been met.
