Margy Wirtz

Undergraduate & Graduate Admissions Assistant

In addition to serving as the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Coordinator for the department, Margy teaches the undergraduate Orientation to Exercise Science and Orientation to Sport Management classes, as well as supervises the Exercise Science practicum and internship students.

Prior to taking this new position at UT, Margy worked in the fitness field for 10+ years as a Fitness Manager, personal trainer and group exercise instructor and coordinator. She holds certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the YMCA.

She got her bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Health & Sport Science from Wake Forest University and her master’s degree in Exercise Science (specialization in Wellness) from the University of Florida.
