Homework #2:

1. Let us return to our rainstorm with our basketball, but assume the piece of paper is replaced with a basketball hoop of the same area as the basketball -- 1 square foot.   Also, let us make the basketball transparent to precipitation (not a very useful basketball). If the both of them are at a distance of 50 cm above the ground (the hoop oriented horizontally with the positive direction considered to be UP), what is the:
