Homework #17:

Table 5.5 (on page 150) gives the proton and alpha particles Q values of   5 and 20, respectively.  Using the Table 3.6 range equations (like I did in the above example for electrons) and Tables 5.1 and 5.2, tell me how reasonable these values are for 4 MeV protons and alpha particles in 1 g/cc water.
