Homework #12:

1. Find the groupwise spontaneous fission neutron source for 1 milligram of C-252.  Use the group structure used in the lesson.

2. Find the groupwise wpe154.gif (986 bytes) neutron source for 1 gram of an Am-241/B mixture that has 10 boron atoms per Am-241 atom.

    For the multigroup structure, use:

Hint: You can "eyeball" the spectrum group integrals using Figure 4.3, picking out the value in the center of each group and multiplying by the group width -- which is 1 for each of the groups I have given you.   BE SURE TO NORMALIZE YOUR SPECTRUM (i.e., divide each group spectrum value by the sum of all of the groups).
