First Log Home Workshop a Success
A Workshop on Building and Owning Log Homes was held in Sevierville, Tennessee on September 27th. Attendees included log home manufacturers, real estate agents, log home owners and people who were thinking of building a log structure.
The Workshop was aimed at providing fundamental information on wood and log home design, durability and maintenance issues. The day-long event was sponsored by the University of Tennessee Forest Products Center and the US Forest Service and included speakers from UT Extension, The University of Tennessee Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the University of California Cooperative Extension.
Further workshops are planned that will build on the success of this first effort. Future programs may be focused on particular groups - e.g. manufacturers. If you are interested in attending a workshop, or if you have suggestions, please contact Adam Taylor
