Rami Nashashibi - Executive Director of Inner-City Muslim Action Network
Rami was one of the original founding members of IMAN. He completed his B.A. in English Literature at DePaul University in English Literature and International Studies, has an M.A. in Social Sciences and is currently a Sociology Ph. D candidate at the University of Chicago. Previously, he has been an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago, Robert Morris College, Daley Community College and most recently at St Xavier University. He is a recipient of the Davis Putter Student Activist Grant and lectures frequently on a range of topics relating to Islam, Muslims and community activism.

On stage with only a DJ, Ali's magical gift for capturing the imagination of his audience has been compared to that of a gospel preacher. His voice, large stature and versatile flow make him a unique and commanding presence. Brother Ali has perfected the live performance, having played countless shows with: Guru, Mos Def, De La Soul, El P, Aceyalone, Souls of Mischief and Living Legends just to name a few.
