MAC Meetings

The MSA Members Activities Committee meetings are the 'blood & guts' of the MSA. These are held weekly in the University Center and are open to MSA members. This is where decisions regarding events, speakers, budgeting, and activities are made. We strongly encourage all interested members to attend these meetings. We delegate work at these meetings, as well as make pivotal decisions. Come join us in the University Center's Crest Room 218, Mondays @ 4:00 p.m.

General Interest Meetings

Each semester, the MSA kicks off the start of classes with a General Interest meeting (previously known as General Body meetings). The MSA hosts two General Interest meetings per semester and they are a great way to make new friends and get acquainted with the MSA, its members, and its events. General Interest meetings are always fun and interactive, with games, prizes and food! The upcoming MSA Calendar of Events premieres at the first meeting of the semester, introductory remarks from the new MSA officers, and a get-to-know session with a great dinner. The second meeting of the semester is a nice way to unwind right before finals, with a wrap up of the semester, a time for reflection, and some good fun. These are held in the International House Great Room for any UT students, faculty, and staff.

Jummah Prayer

Friday prayer is at the MCK (Muslim Community of Knoxville) Masjid Annoor at 1:30 PM. It's convenient for students, as the Knoxville community Masjid is less than a 10 minute walk from the University Center. The address is 100 13th Street. If you need further directions, as always, email msa@utk.edu or contact any MSA member.

Masjid Annoor Website

If students cannot make the 1:30 PM time, make sure to contact the MSA and we will try to arrange a second prayer time for those with conflicts.
