IN THIS UPDATE:

Drinking Water Meeting Includes Review
of Standards for Certain Pesticides

EPA's Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water
has scheduled a public meeting on the six-year
review of existing National Primary Drinking Water
Regulations.  The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m.
until 5:15 p.m. on May 30 at the Washington Plaza
Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle, NW,Washington, DC.
The meeting will review preliminary findings of the
review of 69 National Primary Drinking Water
Regulations that were established before 1997.
Several pesticides are included in the list of
chemicals under review. This review is required by
the Safe Drinking Water Act. For further information

includes information on the review, including the list
of the 69 contaminants, a fact sheet that provides a
brief summary of the review findings, and a link to a
Federal Register notice published on April 17 that
announces the availability of the review and provides
instructions on submitting comments.  The PDF

contains the figures and tables described in the notice.
