Welcome!

Attention: The UT Block and Bridle Club and the UT Student Cattleman's Association have decided to merge into one organization. We feel that this will be a good step for both organizations, and we also feel that by becoming one club we can become a more active and dynamic group to better serve students and our University.

Why we are here:

-To promote a higher scholastic standard and a more complete understanding of the field of Animal Sciences among student members.

-To promote Animal Sciences through the development of a program of activities, especially all phases of student Animal Science work in colleges or Universities.

-To bring about a closer relationship among all students pursuing some phase of the Animal Sciences as a profession.

Where we came from:

The Animal Husbandry Club was first organized in 1939 at the University of Tennessee. The Tennessee Farmer reported that it was reorganized in 1940. Then after the war, The University of Tennessee Block and Bridle club was chartered and became part of a national program. Since 1947 the B&B club has maintained a tradition of being one of the most active student organizations on the UT Campus. The 1999 school year marked the 60th Annual B&B Roundup a tradition began by the Agriculture Club in 1939.
