![]() Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting and obtaining global justice for all. Amnesty UTK has always attracted an impressive group of bright, young minds. Past participants include Torchbearers and Fulbright scholars and others who have gone on to Harvard Law School, Oxford University in England, and Yale Medical School. Others have worked for human rights organizations in India, Ghana and Guatamala. Amnesty International USA offers students various opportunites to become leaders in the organization. The human rights NGO offers a wonderful scholarship to promising young activists. The Patrick Stewart Human Rights Scholarship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the field of human rights. Amnesty International USA awards these scholarships to student activists for summer internships or other short-term human rights projects. Ranging from $300 to $1,800, scholarships can be used for travel, materials, and other expenses.
